About The Opportunity
Healthcare Cardiology clinical services and tertiary patient care serving Tezpur and the wider Assam region. We deliver high-quality outpatient and inpatient cardiac diagnostics and treatment, focusing on timely, evidence-based management of cardiovascular disease in a busy on-site hospital environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide on-site cardiology outpatient (OPD) clinics and manage inpatient cardiology admissions, including acute cardiac emergencies in the ICCU.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures: ECGs, TMT/stress tests, Holter monitoring and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE); escalate findings appropriately.
- Stabilise and treat acute coronary syndromes, heart failure exacerbations, arrhythmias and other common cardiac conditions per institutional protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (internal medicine, anaesthesia, cath-lab where applicable) to coordinate diagnostics, referrals and continuity of care.
- Document clinical assessments, treatment plans and discharge summaries in electronic/physical patient records; ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality standards.
- Participate in departmental clinical meetings, teaching of junior staff and audit/quality-improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with recognised postgraduate qualification in cardiology (PGDCC or equivalent).
- Valid medical registration as required for practice in India.
- Proven competence in transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and ECG interpretation.
- Experience performing and interpreting TMT/stress tests and Holter monitoring.
- Comfortable managing acute cardiac conditions in an ICCU/ward setting.
- Strong documentation practices and adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
Preferred
- ACLS certification.
- Experience with transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) or advanced echo techniques (strain imaging).
- Prior exposure to cath-lab workflow or familiarity with interventional cardiology processes.
