Position: Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO)
Location: Surat/Hazira
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) in line with ISPS Code requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and oversee day-to-day security operations, including access control, surveillance, and patrolling.
- Ensure compliance with national and international maritime security regulations.
- Conduct regular security training and drills for staff and respond promptly to incidents or emergencies.
- Liaise with government agencies, port authorities, and emergency services.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in security management, Maritime Studies, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in port or industrial security, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/security officer role.
- Certified training in ISPS Code, Security Management, and Emergency Response.
- As per the attached Government of India Gazette, qualifications must comply with official PFSO eligibility criteria.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of maritime security regulations and ISPS Code.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in security technology, CCTV, and access control systems.
- Ability to remain calm and effective during high-pressure situations.
- Ex Naval Officer ( 4-5 years Exp )
