Job Context :
Hirmi Cement Works has the production capacity of 2.75 million tonne per annum. This kiln, that started producing in 1994, is one of the largest clinker producers for its size of kiln.
The plant is equipped with clinker loading system, apart from rake & rail cement loading systems, to support its grinding units at Jharsuguda, Orissa and at Durgapur, West Bengal.
The plant operates on technology by M/s F L Smidth, Denmark who have also supplied major equipment of the plant, including the two Atox-45 mills.
The plant also has a 5x6MW Captive Power Plant with M/s Wartsila, Finland supplied DG sets.
Right from Limestone Crusher to Packing plant operations are supported by state of art Control & Automation. Energy saving measures are of prime concern and systems conserve energy has been installed. The Plant Energy Monitoring system helps monitoring the energy usage and also helps identifying areas of improvement. Major challenges:
1.To ascertain process viability / adaptability in retrofitting projects.
2.Achieving targeted performance by adequate evaluation of the process engineering related to up-gradation schemes for new generation schemes where back up data/performance are not known
3.improvement mechanical jobs in the plant, breakdown analysis, MAP etc. and support plant in trouble shooting to improve plant availability
