We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Pet Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and be skilled in providing care for various types of pets. As a Pet groomer & Caretaker, you will be responsible for assisting in grooming, overseeing pet walks, ensuring proper nutrition, supervising pet playtime, maintaining hygiene, and other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform grooming services including bathing, blow-drying, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and de-shedding
- Ensure the pet's safety and comfort at all times
- Assess pet condition and inform pet parents of any concerns (skin issues, ticks, etc.)
- Maintain grooming tools and workspace cleanliness and hygiene
- Handle pets with care, especially nervous or aggressive ones
- Communicate clearly with clients to understand grooming requirements
- Keep accurate records of services provided and pet behaviorAssistance in Grooming: Help with basic grooming tasks, such as bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning.
- Pet Walks: Take dogs for regular walks, ensuring they get adequate exercise and fresh air.
- Feeding and Nutrition: Ensure pets are fed according to their specific dietary needs, keeping track of meal times and quantities.
- Pet Playtime: Engage with pets during playtime, providing toys and activities to keep them entertained and active.
- Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and hygienic environment for pets, including cleaning play areas, kennels, and grooming spaces.
- Observation and Reporting: Monitor pets for any signs of illness or distress and report to management as needed.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific needs and preferences for their pets.
- Safety: Ensure the safety of all pets under your care, following company protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments
- Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills
- Formal training or certification in grooming (preferred but not mandatory)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in pet care or a related field is preferred.
- Strong love for animals and a desire to work with pets.
- Physical ability to walk, lift, and handle pets of various sizes.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Job Details:
- This is a full-time role in Mumbai (Versova).
- Due to the nature of the job and business, Work from Home isn't applicable.
- 6 days/week
- Overnight stay and food provided by studio
