Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Perfumer with around 5 years of experience in fragrance creation and development. The ideal candidate will have strong olfactory training, hands-on formulation ability, and a passion for developing fragrances across various applications. They will work alongside senior perfumers and evaluators on new briefs, modifications, stability studies, and client projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create fragrance trials, accords, and modifications based on brief requirements.
  • Independently handle small to mid-scale briefs under Senior Perfumer guidance.
  • Participate in development of fine fragrances / personal care / home care (as applicable).
  • Work with Evaluators & R&D teams to refine fragrance performance and stability.
  • Maintain and update formula records, batches, dilution trials, and documentation.
  • Evaluate raw materials strength, profile, evaporation curve, pairing behavior.
  • Participate in GC-MS interpretation sessions and reformulation projects.
  • Support Senior Perfumer on complex briefs and presentations.
  • Ensure formulations adhere to IFRA, regulations, and client-specific guidelines.
  • Work with production & QC during scale-up batches to ensure consistency.
Qualifications
  • Degree inChemistry / Perfumery / Cosmetic Science / related field(preferred).
  • Prior training or certification from a perfumery school is an advantage.
  • 46 years experiencein fragrance development in a fragrance house or FMCG.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong olfactory memory and ability to evaluate notes accurately.
  • Familiarity with raw materials, naturals, synthetics, and aroma chemicals.
  • Understanding of volatility, accords, and fragrance balance.
  • Basic knowledge ofIFRA compliance, allergens & regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and formula management.
  • Team-player, collaborative, receptive to feedback and refinement.
