Performance Tester - Senior Engineer

Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Performance Tester with 5-6 years of hands-on experience, including strong expertise in Gatling, to design, execute, and analyze performance tests for enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
. Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests
. Develop and maintain Gatling scripts using Scala for performance testing
. Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations
. Collaborate with developers and architects to resolve performance-related issues
. Monitor application performance using APM and monitoring tools
. Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines
. Prepare and present detailed performance reports and dashboards
. Participate in performance tuning at application, database, and infrastructure levels
. Ensure best practices and standards are followed for performance engineering

Required Skills & Qualifications
. 5-6 years of experience in Performance Testing / Performance Engineering
. Strong hands-on experience with Gatling (mandatory)
. Experience with performance testing concepts: Load, Stress, Spike, Soak, Scalability testing
. Proficiency in Scala (for Gatling scripting)
. Good understanding of HTTP/REST APIs, microservices architecture
. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, GitLab CI)
. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic
. Solid understanding of system architecture, databases, and JVM performance
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
. Excellent communication and documentation skills
Good to Have
. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
. Exposure to containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
. Knowledge of other performance tools (JMeter, k6, LoadRunner)
. Basic scripting skills (Shell, Python)
