Performance Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:The ideal candidate for this position will have strong background in performance testing & engineering in enterprise software platforms and applications. The candidate should have experience in architecting and driving complex performance testing / engineering projects that measure the characteristics of systems running under dynamic, real-world workloads.

In this role you will create infrastructure, automation, and tools that drive realistic loads against the core services of our platform. You will also enable peers in engineering, customer support, and cloud teams to leverage our tools to provide related services.

Qualifications and Experience:Years Of Experience: 5 to 10 years

Educational Qualification: Any Graduate, Postgraduate.

• Skills Required:Provide E2E Performance testing / engineering solutions for various application / projects.
• Ability to develop, design, and execute performance tests using JMeter, Neoload, or any performance testing tool based on requirements and an understanding of the workload model.
• Demonstrable working experience in Web, Web services, REST/SOAP/XML and Native Mobile App based testing.
• Experience with Kafka MQ's and Service Virtualization.
• Identity and troubleshoot performance issues in collaboration with architecture and development teams.
• Performs root cause analysis and drives issues to appropriate resolutions.
• Improve the reliability and repeatability of performance testing.
• Actively participates in and supports the software development life cycle.
• Experience with using any APM / performance monitoring tools such as Splunk, Data Dog, New Relic, AppDynamics & Dynatrace. Or Azure Insights and AWS CloudWatch.
• Hands- on experience in analyzing the performance results – Capture/Analyze/Interpret technical data – performance metrics from application, database, OS, and Network.
• Demonstrated ability to capture key metrics, create accurate status reports and effectively communicate to the stake holders.
• Experience in Cloud (AWS / Azure) environment, Docker/Kubernetes, Prometheus and Grafana.
• Analyze the CPU Utilization, Memory usage, Network usage, Garbage Collection to verify the performance of the applications.
• Identifying memory leakage, connection issues & Bottleneck problem in the application.
• Generate performance graphs, session reports, and other related documentation required for validation and analysis.
• Publish results and provide appropriate signoff. Prepare detailed status reports, and monitoring of all defects and issues.
• Good understanding of basic DB tuning, application server tuning and common issues around performance and scalability.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an aptitude for learning new technologies.
• Develop and engage in proactive, thoroughness, and looks for ways to improve and promote quality performance testing practice.
• Experience in CI/CD Integrations like GIT, Jenkins, or ADO.
• Good knowledge of GIT, or other version control systems.
• Communication – Clearly conveys information and ideas both verbally and written.
• Ability to multi-task. Any ISTQB Foundation Level certificate (or equivalent)
