Performance Test Engineer

Contract Period: 6 months, extendable depending on business requirements.

Roles & Responsibility:

Conduct various types of performance testing, including load, stress, spike, endurance, and scalability, on telecom protocols and applications.

Develop and execute comprehensive performance test plans, scripts, and scenarios using tools such as JMeter, Seagull, and SIPp.

Prepare and manage large-scale test data relevant to telecom network and application scenarios. Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (response times, throughput, resource utilization) during test execution.

Identify performance bottlenecks and work with development teams to implement optimization techniques.

Generate detailed performance reports and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Script and automate performance test scenarios, ensuring reusability and maintainability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, operations) throughout the performance testing lifecycle.

Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices for performance testing within the telecom domain.

Desired Profile: -

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

5-7 years of experience in performance testing within telecom industry.

Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Seagull, SIPp or any 2G/3G/5G simulator

Strong understanding of telecom protocols (e.g., Diameter, SS7, LTE/VoLTE, SIP,TCP/IP, 5G).

Experience with virtualized and containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Exposure to Cloudera/Hadoop ecosystem for handling big data workloads and validating performance at scale.

Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Shell for test automation and log analysis.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and JIRA for defect tracking.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Experience:

5-7 years Educational Qualification: BE. / B.Tech., M.E./M. Tech. or M. Sc. in Computer Science or any related qualification.
