Position - Load & Performance Tester

Role purpose
The Load & Performance Tester is responsible for guaranteeing the resilience, scalability and performance of the bank's applications. The role designs, implements and analyses loadtesting programmes, validates capacity against business expectations, and drives continuous optimisation of the underlying infrastructure and software components.
Core responsibilities
Test design & planning
- Define realistic loadtesting scenarios that reflect production usage patterns.
- Identify, extract and prepare the data required for each scenario.
Test development
- Create and maintain test scripts in Tricentis NeoLoad and LoadRunner.
- Automate execution of performance tests for PI (M2C) applications deployed on OpenShift.
Test execution
- Conduct functional and nonfunctional load tests, monitoring system metrics (CPU, memory, I/O, network, database) throughout the run.
Result analysis
- Analyse response times, throughput, error rates and resource utilisation.
- Perform rootcause analysis on any performance degradations detected.
Defect management
- Log performancerelated defects, track remediation activities and verify corrective actions.
Performance optimisation
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend architectural, configuration or codelevel improvements.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure and operations teams to implement tuning measures.
Required qualifications & experience
- Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field (or equivalent).
- Professional experience Minimum 8 years in IT software quality assurance/testing, including at least 6 years dedicated to load and performance testing and 6 years working with PI applications and M2C architecture.
- Technical expertise Proficiency in Linux, Java, Tomcat 9+, Spring, OracleDB and OpenShift. Advanced competence with Tricentis NeoLoad and LoadRunner.
- Tool & process knowledge Design, scripting, execution and analysis of performance tests; defect lifecycle management; rootcause investigation.
- Leadership Demonstrated experience supervising 24 direct reports and developing team capabilities.
- Skill level BNPP Skill Matrix rating 5 (expert).
