We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer to ensure our platforms deliver exceptional performance, scalability, and reliability under high user traffic.
Role Overview
We are looking for an SDET III – Performance Testing to lead performance engineering initiatives across our products. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in performance testing methodologies, test automation, and system analysis, with the ability to identify performance bottlenecks and drive optimization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive performance test strategies and test plans.
- Perform Load, Stress, Scalability, Endurance (Soak), and Volume Testing.
- Build and maintain reusable performance test scripts using JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools.
- Analyze application, database, and infrastructure performance bottlenecks.
- Work closely with Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams to improve system performance.
- Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and benchmark application performance across releases.
- Prepare detailed performance reports with actionable recommendations.
- Drive performance engineering best practices across teams.
Required Skills
- 5–8 years of experience in Performance Testing or Performance Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with JMeter, Gatling, or equivalent performance testing tools.
- Strong understanding of Load, Stress, Scalability, Endurance, and Volume Testing.
- Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Good understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP, caching, and networking concepts.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, or Kibana.
- Experience analyzing JVM, CPU, memory, thread dumps, and GC logs.
- Strong SQL skills and database performance analysis.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native environments.
- Exposure to Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.
- Scripting knowledge in Java, Python, or Groovy.
- Experience in Gaming, FinTech, or other high-scale product companies.
