We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Lead with over 10 years of experience in performance engineering and testing of enterprise-grade cloud applications. The ideal candidate with strong technical expertise in performance testing tools like Apache JMeter and LoadRunner, and a proven track record of leading performance testing efforts for large-scale, distributed, cloud-native applications.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will define the performance testing strategy, mentor team members, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our applications meet scalability, reliability, and responsiveness goals. Key Responsibilities:

• Define and lead the performance testing strategy for highly available, scalable, and resilient cloud-based (preferably Azure) and on prem applications.
• Architect and implement performance testing frameworks using JMeter, LoadRunner, and other relevant tools.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive performance test plans including load, stress, spike, endurance, and capacity testing.
• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to define performance SLAs and technical baselines.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed insights and recommendations for tuning application code, infrastructure, and database queries.
• Drive root cause analysis for performance bottlenecks and work closely with engineering teams to implement optimizations.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous performance monitoring and validation.
• Setup and maintain performance test environments that replicate production as closely as possible.
• Coach and mentor junior performance engineers promote best practices and performance-first mindset across teams.
• Present test findings and status reports to leadership and stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years in performance testing/engineering for web and cloud applications (cloud-native preferred).
• Recent team-leading experience with accountability and pro-activeness takes ownership and uses critical thinking to challenge/improve results.
• Hands-on PT Lead operating as an IC (drives end-to-end delivery mentors/guides as needed).

• Expert scripting + tool mastery:JMeter (expert) and LoadRunner (expert)Performance Center/ALMcurrent hands-on usage required.
• Recent 2+ years performance testing cloud-hosted applications on Azure or AWS, including infrastructure/performance implications.
• Performance test strategy for microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture.
• Monitoring/observability: Azure Application Insights (preferred), Datadog, Open Telemetry able to correlate telemetry with test outcomes.
• Solid performance tuning knowledge across applications, infrastructure, network, and database layers.
• CI/CD & DevOps integration of performance tests using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills-clearly articulates performance findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience testing SaaS or enterprise cloud applications.
• Familiarity with performance tuning techniques at the code, DB, and infra levels.
• Exposure to monitoring & observability tools
