About the Role
We are looking for an Performance Marketing Specialist (China) to support and execute paid acquisition campaigns targeting the China market.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Has hands-on experience running performance campaigns for China
- Understands the Chinese digital advertising ecosystem
- Is detail-oriented, analytical, and execution-focused
- Ideally has Mandarin proficiency (strong preference)
- You will work closely with senior growth leaders and agencies to scale our China acquisition funnel.
What You'll Do
1. Campaign Execution & Optimization
Assist in managing paid campaigns across:
- Baidu Ads
- Douyin Ads
- WeChat Ads
- Xiaohongshu
- Weibo
Responsibilities include:
- Campaign setup & QA
- Budget pacing
- Bid & audience optimization
- A/B testing (creative, landing pages, messaging)
- Performance reporting
2. Data & Reporting
- Track daily performance metrics (CPL, CAC, ROAS)
- Build dashboards and weekly reports
- Identify trends and optimization opportunities
- Ensure accurate lead tracking and CRM mapping
3. Agency & Vendor Coordination
- Work with China-based agencies for campaign execution
- Review performance reports and challenge assumptions
- Ensure campaign alignment with business goals
4. Localization Support
- Coordinate with content/design teams for:
- Mandarin ad copies
- Localized landing pages
- Platform-native creatives
- Ensure messaging aligns with Chinese student preferences
Who You Are
- 25 years of experience in performance marketing
- Experience running campaigns targeting China (must-have)
- Familiarity with China's ad platforms and tracking limitations
- Strong analytical skills (Excel / performance dashboards)
- Comfortable working with cross-border teams
Strong Advantage:
- Mandarin (spoken + written)
- Experience in ed-tech, education, travel, cross-border e-commerce
