The Role
We're looking for a Paid Ads, AI SEO & Analytics Lead to own three critical areas:
1. Paid Ads Management Meta, Google, LinkedIn campaigns optimized for ROAS and conversion
2. AI SEO AI-assisted optimization combined with deep technical SEO expertise
3. Analytics & A/B Testing GA4, GTM, dashboards, attribution modeling, conversion tracking
Why a contractor and not full-time Paid ads setup, AI SEO audits, and analytics implementation are high-skill but bursty tasks. You're needed intensively at the start of each client engagement (2-3 days), then shift to monitoring, optimization, and reporting. A full-time hire would be underutilized 60% of the time. This engagement gives you expert-level work exactly when it's needed.
You'll work alongside a team of creators. They handle messaging and visuals. You handle the technical execution: campaign management, AI-powered SEO, tracking setup, and attribution modeling.
What You'll Own
1. PAID ADS MANAGEMENT & OPTIMIZATION
- Set up and manage paid ad campaigns across Meta, Google Ads, and LinkedIn Ads
- Optimize campaigns for ROAS and conversion, not just clicks or impressions
- A/B test ad creative and targeting
- Monitor cost per click, conversion rates, ROAS, and identify creative fatigue
- Weekly reporting on campaign performance with recommended optimizations
- Scale winning campaigns and kill underperforming ones based on data
2. AI SEO TECHNICAL EXPERTISE + AI-ASSISTED OPTIMIZATION
- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits (site architecture, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals)
- Use AI tools to optimize on-page content at scale while maintaining quality and search intent alignment
- Implement schema markup, structured data, and rich snippets for enhanced SERP visibility
- Optimize high-traffic, low-conversion pages using AI-assisted content optimization
- Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS) for ranking and conversion impact
- Keyword research focused on buyer intent using AI analysis and traditional tools
- Track organic performance and conversion rates per landing page
- Stay current with AI SEO tools and techniques (ChatGPT for SEO, AI content optimization, etc.)
3. ANALYTICS, TRACKING & A/B TESTING
- Set up Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking from scratch
- Implement A/B testing infrastructure using VWO or Google Optimize
- Build performance dashboards in Looker Studio (conversion-focused, not vanity metrics)
- Set up attribution modeling to track which channels actually drive conversions
- Configure real-time alerts when key metrics drop below thresholds
- Weekly data pulls and performance reporting for strategic review
- Validate all tracking before launch using GTM debug mode and GA4 real-time reports
What Success Looks Like
- You run a technical SEO audit, implement AI-assisted optimizations, and organic conversion rate jumps 40% within 6 weeks
- You manage 3 concurrent paid ad campaigns across platforms, each consistently hitting ROAS targets of 3.5+
- You set up a client's GA4 + GTM infrastructure in 2-3 hours, and tracking fires perfectly across all events
- You use AI tools to optimize 15 landing pages in a week while maintaining search intent and quality
- You configure an A/B test, let it run to statistical significance, and implement the winning variant that lifts conversion 28%
- You build a Looker Studio dashboard that surfaces a channel underperforming, and your recommendation shifts XX/month in ad spend
- You flag a conversion drop in real-time, diagnose the tracking issue in GTM debug mode, and fix it within 30 minutes
Who You Are
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years managing paid ad campaigns (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads) with proven ROAS results
- 5+ years deep technical SEO experience site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, crawlability, indexation
- Hands-on experience using AI tools for SEO (ChatGPT for content optimization, AI-assisted keyword research, AI content analysis)
- Strong Google Analytics 4 experience you've built setups from scratch, not just read reports
- Proficient with Google Tag Manager for multi-event tracking implementations
- Real A/B testing experience you've personally configured and analyzed tests using VWO or Optimizely
- Can build Looker Studio dashboards from scratch tailored to specific client KPIs
- Basic JavaScript skills for custom tracking when standard GTM tags aren't sufficient
- Understand attribution modeling you know last-click isn't the full picture
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) you'll communicate directly with US clients occasionally
BONUS POINTS (NOT REQUIRED, BUT HELPFUL)
- Experience with CRO agencies or in-house conversion optimization teams
- Familiarity with advanced AI SEO tools (SurferSEO, Clearscope, Frase, MarketMuse)
- Experience with tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, GTmetrix
- Understanding of landing page optimization and user behavior analysis (Hotjar, Clarity)
- Experience working with SaaS, e-commerce, or B2B clients
- Python or automation skills for scaling SEO tasks
