Job Description

About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced Perception System Architect to design and lead intelligent perception solutions that enable robots and autonomous systems to understand and interact with their environment. This role combines expertise in computer vision, sensor fusion, AI/ML, and edge computing to build production-ready perception systems. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design end-to-end perception system architectures for autonomous and robotic platforms 

  • Architect multi-sensor fusion systems integrating cameras, lidar, radar, and inertial sensors 

  • Develop perception pipelines on edge platforms: NVIDIA THOR, Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride, and similar 

  • Integrate Vision Language Models (VLM) and Vision Language Action (VLA) for video analytics and decision-making 

  • Implement reinforcement learning solutions for perception optimization and autonomous behavior 

  • Design path planning algorithms and trajectory optimization integrated with perception outputs 

  • Mentor hardware, firmware, and software engineers on perception best practices 

  • Communicate technical perception solutions to stakeholders and clients with clarity 

Core Technical Skills 

  • Hands-on experience building production-grade Perception System solutions 

  • Expertise in sensor fusion (visual, lidar, radar, IMU) and multi-sensor integration 

  • Deep learning frameworks for computer vision (OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, YOLO, 3D detection) 

  • Vision Language Models (VLM) and Vision Language Action (VLA) for video analytics 

  • Reinforcement Learning (RL) for perception optimization and policy learning 

  • Edge AI platforms: NVIDIA THOR, Qualcomm Snapdragon, Jetson, and similar processors 

  • 3D perception, object detection, segmentation, pose estimation, and tracking 

  • Path planning and trajectory optimization algorithms 

  • Real-time processing and low-latency system design 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills for client and team engagement
