Job Description

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced PeopleSoft Payroll Consultant (Techno-Functional or Functional) to support payroll operations, enhancements, and ongoing system improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PeopleSoft Payroll processing along with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain PeopleSoft Payroll modules, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and/or technical specifications
  • Configure and support payroll elements including earnings, deductions, taxes, and retro processing
  • Handle payroll issues, troubleshoot system defects, and provide timely resolutions
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and technical teams for system enhancements and integrations
  • Participate in system testing (SIT/UAT), prepare test cases, and validate payroll outputs
  • Support year-end activities, statutory compliance, and audit requirements
  • For techno-functional candidates: assist with customizations, SQR/PeopleCode, Application Engine, and integrations
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and changes

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, Finance, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in PeopleSoft HCM with strong focus on Payroll
  • Hands-on experience in PeopleSoft Payroll processing and support
  • Strong understanding of payroll cycles, taxation, compliance, and reporting
  • Experience in requirement gathering and stakeholder communication

Technical Skills (for Techno-Functional role):

  • PeopleSoftTools (PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, Component Interface)
  • Experience with integrations and data migration
  • SQL proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with multiple payrolls (NA and Global)
  • Exposure to Time & Labor or Absence Management modules
  • Experience in hybrid or distributed team environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Work Model:
