Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft HCM Functional Consultant with
10+ years of hands-on experience in delivering end-to-end PeopleSoft HCM solutions across multiple project types. The ideal candidate should possess strong functional expertise in Core HR and Absence Management, with experience spanning implementation, enhancement, support, upgrade, migration, and transformation initiatives.
The candidate should have strong business process understanding, stakeholder management capabilities, excellent verbal & non-verbal communication, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective PeopleSoft functional solutions. Exposure to additional HCM modules will be considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders and convert them into functional specifications.
Drive functional design discussions and recommend best-fit PeopleSoft HCM solutions aligned with business needs.
Support various project engagements including:
Full lifecycle implementations
Enhancements and optimization projects
Production support
Upgrades and PUM implementations
Data conversion and migration activities
Integrations and transformation initiatives
Innovation & Efficiency initiatives
Configure and support PeopleSoft Core HR and Absence Management modules.
Perform impact analysis for change requests and assess downstream process impacts.
Collaborate closely with technical teams for development, integrations, interfaces, reporting, and issue resolution.
Prepare functional design documents, test scenarios, test scripts, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Provide guidance on best practices and process improvements within PeopleSoft HCM.
Support defect triaging, root cause analysis, and resolution activities.
Conduct stakeholder discussions, demonstrations, and knowledge transfer sessions as needed.
Strong expertise in:
Core HR
Absence Management
Experience across multiple project types such as implementation, support, upgrade, enhancement, and transformation projects.
Strong understanding of HCM business processes and workflows.
Experience preparing:
Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
Functional Design Documents (FDDs)
Test cases and UAT documentation
Hands-on experience with business process analysis and solution design.
Ability to work effectively with business users, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience in Agile delivery methodologies.
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
Experience in one or more additional PeopleSoft HCM modules is desirable:
