PeopleSoft Global Payroll Consultant (Australia)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Global Payroll Consultant with strong expertise in Australian payroll processing. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end payroll configuration, processing, compliance, and support using PeopleSoft Global Payroll, ensuring adherence to Australian statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and support PeopleSoft Global Payroll for Australia
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including:
  • Pay runs, off-cycle payments, and adjustments
  • Payroll reconciliation and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with Australian payroll regulations, including:
  • Taxation (PAYG)
  • Superannuation
  • Leave entitlements
  • Termination payments
  • Handle payroll elements such as earnings, deductions, accumulators, and formulas
  • Work on payroll calendars, absence management, and retro processing
  • Support statutory reporting and year-end activities (e.g., STP – Single Touch Payroll)
  • Troubleshoot payroll issues and provide production support
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams for integrations and enhancements
  • Participate in upgrades, patches, and testing cycles (SIT/UAT)
  • Maintain documentation for payroll processes and configurations

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience in PeopleSoft Global Payroll
  • Solid knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
  • Experience with:

Payroll configuration (rules, elements, calendars)

Absence Management

Retro processing

  • Familiarity with Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting
  • Good understanding of payroll accounting and reconciliation
  • Experience in production support and issue resolution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft HCM modules (Core HR, Time & Labor)
  • Knowledge of integration tools (e.g., CI, APIs, or middleware)
  • Exposure to upgrades or migration projects
  • Basic SQL knowledge for data analysis

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Finance, HR, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (if any) in PeopleSoft are a plus

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
