Job Description

Cympl Studios is on the lookout for a seasoned and hands-on Lead Talent Acquisition & HR to lead our Human Resources function and directly work with the CEO. This is not just an HR role — it's a leadership opportunity to shape people strategy, drive recruitment, and strengthen the core of our studio culture.

You'll be the strategic and operational anchor of all HR activities — from hiring top talent to building scalable HR processes, driving employee engagement, managing performance, and fostering a workplace that encourages creativity and collaboration. If you're passionate about recruitment, thrive in a high-ownership environment, and want to make a visible impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of overall HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HRBP, HR Generalist, or People Ops role
  • Proven hands-on experience in end-to-end recruitment, preferably in a product-based or gaming/ tech-driven environment
  • Prior experience in managing the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exit
  • Exposure to startup or fast-paced team environments where building structure is part of the role
  • Strong working knowledge of HR policies, compliance requirements, and documentation standards
  • Proficiency in working with HRMS platforms (KEKA preferred), Excel, and Google Workspace
  • Experience in employee engagement, performance management, and internal communication
  • Experience in managing or mentoring junior HR staff
  • Comfortable working closely with founders/leadership and managing high levels of ownership

Technical Skills:

  • Strong command over full-cycle recruitment tools (i.e., LinkedIn Recruiter)
  • Hands-on experience with HRMS platforms (preferably KEKA)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
  • Understanding of labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR documentation
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, job portals, and sourcing tools

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and discretion
  • Excellent at administration and time management
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with a bias for action and solution orientation

Role Responsibilities:

Recruitment (Primary Focus)

  • Lead and execute full-cycle recruitment for tech, design, art, production, QA, and support roles
  • Develop and manage hiring strategies, pipelines, and sourcing plans aligned with studio goals
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role needs, craft JDs, and build structured interview processes
  • Own candidate experience, right from sourcing to onboarding
  • Drive employer branding efforts across platforms

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Oversee onboarding, confirmation, exits, and all documentation with high attention to detail
  • Maintain and improve HRMS processes (preferably on KEKA) for attendance, leave, and data accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with statutory HR requirements and internal policy frameworks
  • Manage HR audits, compensation inputs, and vendor coordination (e.g., insurance, payroll partners)

Culture & Engagement

  • Champion Cympl's studio culture and ensure employees are aligned, engaged, and supported roles
  • Conceptualize and execute employee engagement initiatives, events, and wellness programs
  • Address employee grievances with empathy, fairness, and discretion

Performance & Growth

  • Facilitate performance management processes: goal setting, reviews, feedback loops
  • Partner with leads on growth plans, career pathing, and retention strategies
  • Support L&D needs by identifying skill gaps and driving learning opportunities

Leadership & Strategic Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and founders on all people-related matters
  • Translate business challenges into scalable HR solutions
  • Manage the HR team and mentor them on day-to-day operations and growth
