About Process Excellence & Automation
The PE&A department aims to drive high impact projects delivering process transformation and quality improvement across business functions. The team is responsible for identifying, prioritizing and driving these initiatives across the bank (Retail, corporate banking, ATM, Phone banking and Digital banking) to deliver measurable and tangible business outcomes.
About the Role
We are looking for a Vertical Head to lead key initiatives for process excellence & automation in Bharat Banking & Corporate Centre. The vertical head will be instrumental in reviewing the design and implementation of process enhancements within in Bharat Banking & Corporate Centre functions. They will oversee the execution of the enhancements and focusing on boosting the bank's operational and business efficiency. Vertical head will directly supervise the team leads, facilitate indirect oversight and foster a cooperative environment for the team.
In their role, the vertical head will engage with interdisciplinary teams and liaise with external vendors, supervise the improvement of key processes through the integration of Six Sigma and Agile practices. The head will also monitor project schedules, with a focus on achieving quantifiable business and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
.Steer the systematic enhancements of processes leading to improved business and operational outcomes
.Review and facilitate design and implementation with team leads to enable development of quality process solutions driving organizational efficiency and effectiveness
.Supervise team leads and members, establish clear project objectives, value assessment, deliverables, and success metrics in partnership with cross-functional teams from Product, Operations, IT, Finance, and other functions
.Lead with data insights, generating ideas and solutions for potential and emerging issues within the process reimagination
.Proactively review identified risks and set up close group meetings to address and mitigate risks
.Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure senior management are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
.Collaborate with the governance manager to ensure project alignment with broader objectives, track progress, and provide executive oversight to ensure execution of projects
.Ensure rigorous quality control for new processes and technology rollouts, with regular reporting to management to uphold high standards and drive the success of implementation initiatives
.Provide guidance and oversight for comprehensive hyper care after implementation to ensure process improvements and champion digital innovation for business efficiency to ensure sustained performance
.Direct the growth of team proficiency and the improvement of operational workflows
.Review developed documentation, communication collaterals, training materials and monitor the establishment of feedback mechanisms for continuous process improvement
Qualifications:
Optimal qualification for success on the job is:
.A bachelor's degree from Tier 1 college or master's degree (in any discipline)
.10+ years of experience in process improvement and automation within the banking sector preferred
.Extensive experience in supervising change management efforts and guiding teams through transitions
.Preference for senior-level certifications in Project Management and Change Management
.Profound knowledge of various project management methodologies and their oversight in different business situations
.Expertise in design thinking with a focus on mentoring teams to tackle complex issues
.Capability to foster a strong network for change, ensuring smooth adoption and stakeholder management
.Insight into leveraging technology as a strategic tool for business enhancement
