Role Overview
As a Pega Senior Developer, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end Pega solutions, from technical design through deployment and post-production support. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to implement workflow automation and case management solutions aligned with client business objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Pega development and solution delivery
- Mandatory certification in Pega CSA (Certified System Architect)
- Strong experience across Pega platform development, workflow design, and rules configuration
- Comfortable working within Agile / Scrum delivery teams
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and develop applications on the Pega platform based on functional and technical requirements
- Build and customize case types, workflows, business rules, UI components, and decision logic
- Support architecture discussions on integrations, data structures, and system scalability
- Develop and maintain integrations with external systems via APIs, REST/SOAP services, and databases
- Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and release planning activities
- Troubleshoot system defects, performance issues, and production incidents
- Ensure adherence to Pega guardrails, coding standards, and best practices
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers within the team
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Pega BPM, case lifecycle management, decision rules, and data pages
- Experience with integrations including REST, SOAP, connectors, and services
- Working knowledge of Java, SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and web technologies
- Familiarity with application servers such as WebLogic, JBoss, Apache Tomcat, or IIS
- Exposure to version control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, or enterprise CRM projects
- Exposure to cloud environments and DevOps practices
- Experience with debugging tools, performance tuning, and automated testing frameworks
