Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Pega Developer to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade case management and workflow solutions. The role involves building a robust Pega-based application integrated with external systems ,enabling automated case creation, approvals, routing, reporting, and operational dashboards.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Pega PRPC, case management, integrations, and enterprise application design, with the ability to collaborate closely with business stakeholders and drive end-to-end delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pega Application Design & Development

  • Design and implement Pega applications using blueprint-driven development
  • Define enterprise class structure (Work & Data classes) and application layering (Data, Integration, Division layers)
  • Configure case types, stages, steps, and alternate flows
  • Build scalable and reusable rulesets, data models, and components
  • Document application architecture and integration design

2. Case Management & Workflow Implementation

  • Develop workflows for:
  • Case creation and reopening via APIs
  • Approval processes (Approve/Reject/Reassign)
  • Routing to work queues and users
  • Implement case lifecycle management, including statuses, audit trails, and history
  • Enable features like:
  • Case comments and collaboration (Pulse)
  • Attachments (Add/View/Edit/Delete)
  • Case reassignment and transfer actions

3. UI & Portal Development

  • Design and develop intuitive Pega UI screens for:
  • Approvals, rejections, and comments
  • Case summaries and detailed views
  • Build and configure role-based portals:
  • Approver / Analyst / Viewer Portal
  • Admin Portal with advanced search and override capabilities
  • Implement:
  • Worklists and Work Queues
  • Dashboards and reporting gadgets
  • Elastic search and advanced case search

4. Integration & API Development

  • Design and implement integrations with external systems
  • Case creation/reopen APIs
  • Status update APIs (bi-directional integration)
  • Handle:
  • Data validation and exception handling
  • Synchronous transactions and rollback scenarios
  • Extend existing integrations for user/LDAP synchronization

5. Security & Access Control

  • Implement SSO integration with LDAP
  • Configure role-based access control (RBAC) and privileges
  • Enforce data-level security (e.g., restrict requestors from approving their own cases)

6. Reporting & Notifications

  • Develop operational reports (case status, queues, users, trends)
  • Design and populate reporting data structures/index tables
  • Configure email notifications for:
  • Case creation
  • Approval / rejection
  • Reassignment

7. Deployment, Testing & Support

  • Manage:
  • Code packaging and deployments (CI/CD)
  • Sprint-wise releases and demos
  • Perform:
  • Guardrail compliance and performance tuning
  • Bug fixes and QA support
  • Provide production support, monitoring, and incident resolution

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with Pega PRPC (v7.x / v8.x or higher)
  • Expertise in:
  • Case Management
  • Data Modeling
  • Integration (REST APIs, SOAP)
  • UI (Sections, Harnesses, Portals)
  • Experience with:
  • Work queues, routing, and assignments
  • Pega security model (SSO, LDAP, RBAC)
  • Reporting and dashboards
  • Knowledge of Pega guardrails and best practices

Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder communication and requirement elaboration skills
  • Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Experience mentoring junior developers
