Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pediatrician role based at Apollo Hospitals in Raurkela. The Pediatrician will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, including preventive care, routine check-ups, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, and immunizations. Responsibilities include conducting detailed patient assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing evidence-based treatment plans, and ensuring safe, age-appropriate care. The role involves close coordination with neonatology teams for newborn care, collaboration with other physicians and multidisciplinary staff, and clear communication with parents and caregivers about treatment options and health education. The Pediatrician is expected to maintain accurate medical records, adhere to clinical protocols and regulatory standards, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to a safe, patient-centered environment.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong clinical skills in Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage common and complex pediatric conditions.
  • Candidates should possess specialized expertise in Pediatrics, including growth and development, acute pediatric illnesses, and chronic disease management.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Neonatology for the assessment and care of newborns, including high-risk and preterm infants.
  • Candidates should possess experience working with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
  • MD/DNB in Pediatrics (or equivalent recognized qualification) with valid medical registration.
  • Prior experience in a hospital or multispecialty clinical setting is highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills, with a patient- and family-centered approach.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, adherence to clinical guidelines, and participation in training and quality initiatives.
