Job Description

Position Summary

TruHap Child Development Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Physiotherapist to support children with developmental delays, neurological conditions, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and other developmental challenges.

The therapist will focus on improving gross motor skills, posture, balance, coordination, strength, mobility, and functional independence while working closely with families and a multidisciplinary team to help children achieve their developmental goals.

Key ResponsibilitiesParent Consultation & Assessment
  • Conduct parent consultations to understand developmental concerns and functional challenges.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of gross motor development, posture, balance, coordination, strength, mobility, and functional abilities.
  • Identify developmental delays and movement-related difficulties affecting daily activities.
  • Explain assessment findings and intervention plans to parents.
Goal Setting & Treatment Planning
  • Develop individualized short-term and long-term goals for each child.
  • Design treatment plans based on the child's developmental needs.
  • Review and modify goals based on progress and reassessment findings.
  • Create home exercise and activity programs for parents to support progress outside therapy sessions.
Therapy Sessions
  • Conduct one-on-one pediatric physiotherapy sessions.
  • Improve gross motor skills such as sitting, standing, walking, running, jumping, climbing, and stair navigation.
  • Work on balance, coordination, posture, strength, endurance, and motor planning.
  • Facilitate age-appropriate motor development and functional independence.
  • Use play-based and child-friendly therapeutic approaches.
  • Support children in achieving greater participation in school, home, and community activities.
Parent Guidance
  • Educate parents regarding developmental milestones and motor development.
  • Train parents in home exercise programs and carry-over activities.
  • Provide guidance on positioning, mobility, physical activity, and functional participation.
  • Conduct monthly Parent-Therapist Meetings (PTMs) to discuss progress and future goals.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain daily therapy log sheets and treatment records.
  • Document session activities, progress, and outcomes.
  • Prepare progress reports and discharge summaries whenever required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation as per center protocols.
Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with Speech Therapists, Behaviour Therapists, Special Educators, Psychologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.
  • Contribute to integrated intervention planning for children.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT).
  • Experience or interest in Pediatric Physiotherapy.
  • Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Developmental Delay, and Neurological Conditions preferred.
  • Freshers with pediatric internship experience may also apply.
Skills Required
  • Strong understanding of pediatric motor development.
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones and neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Excellent communication and parent counselling skills.
  • Strong observation, assessment, and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to engage children through play-based intervention.
  • Patience, empathy, and a child-centered approach.

  • Achievement of child-specific developmental goals.
  • Parent satisfaction and engagement.
  • Timely completion of documentation and reports.
  • Consistency in conducting PTMs and parent education sessions.
  • Child progress in mobility, balance, coordination, posture, strength, and functional independence.
  • Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.
