Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer III (Full-Stack) to lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and highly efficient backend services and systems. You will lead full-stack product development, working on innovative solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the operational excellence of our platforms. You will also serve as a polished and professional communicator, acting as a key technical contact with clients.

What You Must Do (Core Responsibilities)

  • Architect and Design end-to-end, large-scale full-stack systems that are scalable, secure, and maintainable, ensuring seamless integration between frontend and backend components.
  • Lead full-stack product development efforts, translating business objectives into technical solutions with a focus on SAAS architecture, user experience, and backend system performance.
  • Develop and Maintain frontend user interfaces using Angular.
  • Develop and Maintain highly efficient and scalable backend services primarily in Node.js (or Java/J2EE) using REST APIs.
  • Ensure System Security by applying strong security fundamentals across all development and deployment stages.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams, including product managers and designers, to ensure successful product delivery and alignment with business requirements. This role requires a high degree of client interaction, demanding excellent, polished communication skills.
  • Ensure Systems are DevOps Compatible, implementing best practices for CI/CD pipelines, logging, monitoring, and overall operational needs.
  • Maintain Operational Excellence by driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for full-stack systems and fostering system-wide improvements.
  • Mentor and Guide junior engineers (PDE I/II) in both frontend and backend development, helping them advance their technical skills and grow within the organization.

Work Experience

What You've Done (Required Experience):

  • 7+ years of software development experience, focusing on full-stack development.
  • Expertise with RESTful APIs and strong security fundamentals.
  • Strong front-end experience with Angular and React.js, building responsive and user friendly web applications.
  • Expertise in building backend services using Node.js or Java/J2EE and JSON. Note: Experience in Node.js can substitute for Java, but a learning curve for Java/J2EE is expected.
  • Experience with deployment, including containerization like Docker and orchestration like Kubernetes (K8).

Must Know/Experience

  • Experience with TypeScript, PHP, MySQL, and Neo4j (at least some experience required).
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS) and hands-on experience with cloud based deployments.
  • Proven experience leading teams and mentoring engineers, driving system-wide architectural decisions.
  • Operational experience with post-launch troubleshooting, system monitoring, and on-call responsibilities.
