PD Designer & Merchandiser

About the Company

Achiever Apparels is a garment export house based in Gurgaon, manufacturing womenswear & Kidswear for international markets including the UK, EU, and US. We work with some of the most respected global brands.We are looking for a PD Merchandiser to handle product development and sampling for international buyers.This role involves translating buyer tech packs, mood boards, and briefs into actual sample developments, working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely execution.

Role Overview

The PD Designer will be responsible for managing the complete product development cycle from interpreting buyer tech packs to delivering finished samples while maintaining strict adherence to timelines and quality standards. The role requires strong coordination skills, the ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Role Description

• Interpret and work from buyer tech packs, sketches, and mood boards
• Develop proto samples, mock styles, and initial developments
• Coordinate with pattern masters, sampling unit, and vendors for execution
• Ensure design, fit, construction, and trims are aligned with buyer requirements
• Support design adaptations and development based on buyer briefs
• Manage multiple developments simultaneously and meet timelines
• Follow up with teams to ensure timely sample completion and dispatch

Requirements

• 3–4 years experience in an apparel export house
• Strong hands-on experience in sampling and product development
• Ability to read and interpret tech packs independently
• Good understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and trims
• Basic design sensibility and ability to work from mood boards
• Strong coordination and follow-up skills
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision

Education

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or Apparel Technology from a recognised institute.

Location

Gurgaon, Haryana

• (On-site position; candidates from Gurgaon are highly preferred)
