The Role
We are looking for a PCB Design Intern who is excited to work on real, production-grade circuit boards
that go into robotics kits and educational hardware. You will collaborate with our engineering team to
design, test, and optimize custom PCBs used in interactive STEM learning tools. If you have tinkered with
PCB design tools, enjoy hardware challenges, and want your work to power the next wave of smart
learning hardware, we would love to hear from you.
Mandatory Requirements
● Familiarity with Eagle or KiCad for schematic and layout design
● Completed at least two PCB designs (must be able to share Gerber files or layout screenshots)
● Basic understanding of electronic components and how circuits work
● Willingness to learn hardware debugging and improve designs based on feedback
● Attention to detail and a strong interest in hands-on electronics
What You'll Be Doing
● Designing 2-layer or 4-layer PCBs for use in robotics and STEM learning kits
● Working with Eagle (preferred) or KiCad for schematic capture and PCB layout
● Creating and interpreting schematic diagrams for basic to intermediate circuits
● Reviewing and preparing Gerber files for manufacturing
● Assisting with hardware debugging and basic circuit testing during prototyping
● Collaborating with the hardware team for component placement and layout optimization
● Ensuring designs follow good practices for routing, silkscreen, and manufacturability
What You Will Gain
● Real-world experience in designing PCBs that go into actual products
● Mentorship from engineers working in robotics and educational hardware
● Exposure to the complete PCB workflow—from design to debug to production
● A chance to build your portfolio with industry-grade designs
● Hands-on learning that bridges theory and real hardware challenges
● Contribution to meaningful tech that supports hands-on education
