Job Description

We are looking for a PCB Debugger to join our hardware engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues in electronic PCB circuits during prototype and production stages. This role involves hands-on debugging, hardware testing, and close collaboration with the design and manufacturing teams to ensure reliable product performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Debug and troubleshoot electronic PCB circuits in prototype and production boards.
  • Identify hardware issues such as short circuits, incorrect component placement, component failures, signal integrity problems, and power issues.
  • Use lab instruments such as multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and power supplies for circuit testing and analysis.
  • Read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and datasheets to locate and diagnose faults.
  • Support prototype bring-up and hardware validation.
  • Perform soldering, rework, and component replacement when required.
  • Work closely with hardware design engineers to identify root causes and implement fixes.
  • Document debugging procedures, test results, and solutions for future reference.
  • Assist in resolving production and field hardware issues.

Requirements

  • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components and circuit fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB debugging tools such as:
  • Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer
  • Experience with soldering, desoldering, and PCB rework.
  • Ability to troubleshoot analog, digital, and power circuits.
  • Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and PCB layouts.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Basic knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI.
  • Experience with prototype bring-up and board validation.
  • Understanding of signal integrity and power distribution issues.
  • Experience with hardware debugging documentation and reporting.
