Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Expert to oversee and manage comprehensive payroll functions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and best practices, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all payroll-related activities. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex payroll scenarios. The successful candidate will maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure that payroll operations are executed seamlessly.
Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management: Oversee and manage payroll input, review, audit, and documentation processes. Calculate salary wages, overtime, bonuses, and other types of pay in compliance with company policies.
- Process terminations, out-of-cycle payments, and ensure timely payroll execution.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with HR, Finance other stakeholders to ensure data integrity and processing accuracy.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll results, review pay registers, and correct discrepancies.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, and address queries from business units and stakeholders.
- Employee Support: Ensure timely and accurate responses to employee inquiries and payroll-related questions.
- Compliance: Handle statutory filings, remittances, and respond to notices from regulatory authorities.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams, hiring managers, and external parties as needed.
- Best Practices: Implement best practices and develop process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
- Special Projects: Participate in special projects, initiatives and handling beyond regular payroll tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of end-to-end payroll experience, with significant experience in APAC and Australia payroll.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of payroll tax, statutory requirements, and compliance.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Multitasking: Proven ability to manage multiple payroll tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Projects: Experience with payroll implementation and migration new payrolls.
Preferred Qualifications
- APAC Payroll: Minimum 3+ years of India or any other APAC region payroll experience.
- Expertise: Expertise in India payroll tax and statutory regulations.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency with payroll software such as SAP, SNOW, or HCM systems.
- Office Skills: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Presentation: Good presentation and time-management skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes and take accountability for tasks and projects.
