About the Role
We are seeking a Payroll Specialist (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on payroll processing, compensation administration, tax compliance, employee benefits, workforce payments, and payroll operations.
In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated outputs related to payroll calculations, payroll compliance, compensation workflows, employee earnings, statutory deductions, payroll reporting, and payroll-related decision-making. Your expertise will help improve AI systems designed for payroll intelligence, HR operations, compliance analysis, and workforce management.
This position is ideal for professionals with experience in payroll administration, payroll processing, compensation management, HR operations, finance operations, or workforce compliance.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common payroll and compensation-related scenarios
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated payroll analyses, calculations, compliance reviews, and operational recommendations
- Assess AI outputs for payroll accuracy, compliance alignment, logical reasoning, and process consistency
- Review AI-generated payroll calculations, salary structures, deductions, tax withholdings, benefits administration, and payroll reports
- Identify payroll discrepancies, compliance gaps, calculation errors, reporting issues, and process inefficiencies in AI-generated outputs
- Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in payroll and HR operations workflows
- Support projects involving payroll processing, compensation administration, payroll compliance, workforce payments, and reporting activities
- Review peer-developed deliverables to maintain quality and consistency standards
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on payroll operations and workforce management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in Payroll Administration, Payroll Processing, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, Finance Operations, or related functions
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, salary calculations, statutory deductions, tax compliance, and payroll reporting requirements
- Experience managing payroll records, employee compensation data, payroll audits, and payroll reconciliations
- Familiarity with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, workforce management tools, and payroll compliance procedures
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, employment-related compliance requirements, and compensation administration practices
- Strong analytical thinking, numerical accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent written English communication skills
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and consistency
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with multinational payrolls, outsourced payroll providers, or global workforce operations
- Familiarity with payroll platforms such as ADP, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UKG, Paychex, or similar systems
- Experience supporting payroll audits, compensation reviews, tax reporting, or compliance functions
- Knowledge of payroll controls, benefits administration, workforce analytics, and HR compliance frameworks
- Professional certifications in payroll, HR, accounting, or finance are a plus
- Experience working with payroll data analysis, reporting, or process improvement initiatives is advantageous
