What Makes You a Great Fit

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist based in India to support EMEA payroll operations and navigate the complexities of multi-country payroll. At its core, this role focuses on supporting our global client service team by assisting with payroll administration and best practices.

This position calls for someone who is truly high-velocity, where resourcefulness and adaptability are key to success. Initially, the role will focus on the EMEA region, with the opportunity to expand into additional regions as knowledge and expertise grow.

This role reports to the Director of Payroll, APAC.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Execute weekly and monthly payroll functions for EOR, including employee inquiries, audits, reporting, and new entity projects.
  • Initially focus on EMEA region payroll processing.
  • Coordinate payroll activities with external vendors and internal Finance teams.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, bonuses, and pay rate changes.
  • Prepare payroll inputs for MSPs/ICPs, review outputs, audit results, perform reasonability checks, and adhere strictly to payroll calendars.
  • Follow and implement SOX controls.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports, entering data into databases and spreadsheets.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements by partnering with MSPs/ICPs and internal teams such as Finance, People, Benefits, and Legal.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required records and documentation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve employee inquiries related to payroll, expense reporting, and vendor billing in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within regional payroll operations and contribute to scalable, global solutions.
  • Coordinate, enhance, and maintain payroll process documentation, ensuring consistency across regions and keeping materials up to date.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and other teams to deliver effective solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives across payroll operations.
  • Collaborate with the global payroll team and act as backup support for other regions as needed.
  • Ensure proper handling of personal information in compliance with GDPR and internal policies.
  • Provide timely payroll, expense reporting, and billing support to the account management team.
  • Build and maintain expertise in international employment, payroll, and PEO (Professional Employment Organization) operations.

Let's Connect If You

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant payroll experience.
  • Possess strong knowledge of EMEA payroll legislation and year-end requirements.
  • Have experience managing complex payrolls with multiple data sources and vendors.
  • Demonstrate strong Excel and payroll software skills.
  • Bring a strong controls mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Are fluent in Business English.
  • Are a collaborative team player who thrives under pressure and meets tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Are proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • Are self-motivated, positive, and eager to learn while supporting others growth.
  • Have experience working in NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
  • Have experience with Expensify or similar expense management platforms (preferred).
  • Are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
