Job Description:
The US Payroll Specialist performs various functions in the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Process payroll transactions for our employees in an accurate and timely manner.
- Reviews and reconciles timesheets, records changes in salaries, deductions, and other payroll information.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including tax laws, wage and hour laws and other payroll-related regulations.
- Computes and interprets miscellaneous forms of compensation and deductions.
- Prepares calculations for special payroll checks, computes and prepares necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate payroll data and records, including employee information, timesheets, and other relevant payroll documents.
- Resolve employee payroll issues, discrepancies, and concerns within an acceptable time frame.
- Run and maintain accurate payroll reports and analysis, providing insights into payroll trends.
- Manage payroll related expenses and budgetary concerns.
- Provide training to employees as necessary on payroll-related processes.
- Stay current with all payroll-related laws and regulations and make recommendations for changes to policies and procedures as necessary.
Requirements:
- Payroll software proficiency, prior knowledge of Quick Books and ADP application will be preferred.
- Minimum of 06 months of payroll processing experience in a similar role.
- Strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Knowledge of payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Understanding of US payroll laws, tax regulations, and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance/Accounting from a reputed university.
