Position Title: Payroll Operation Senior Analyst CL -10

Location: Bengaluru

Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary:

It involves handling various payroll-related tasks. This includes managing payroll processing, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and handling individual tax and social security contributions. The role also requires good technical aptitude in payroll, finance, and systems, as well as knowledge of Nordic Payroll.

What would you do

The Payroll Senior Analyst oversees end-to-end payroll operations with a focus on Nordic payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely processing in accordance with local regulations and requirements. Candidates should have at least 6 years of payroll experience, preferably including Nordic countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Norway, or Finland. Familiarity with Nordic payroll legislation (such as reporting obligations, tax codes, and statutory benefits) and a strong grasp of payroll controls like monthly reconciliation, variance analysis, and error checks (e.g., duplicate payments, zero/negative net pay) are essential.

Experience working with ERP systems like SAP, Workday, is highly desirable. Advanced Excel skills (such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables) and strong communication abilities in both verbal and written forms are required. Payroll certification relevant to Nordic countries is considered an advantage.

Key responsibilities include managing all Nordic payroll processes, conducting root cause analysis for payroll issues, recommending process improvements tailored to the Nordic region, participating in knowledge transfer activities, and delivering training to team members on Nordic payroll practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll controls, including reconciliation, net pay reports, duplicate payment checks, and input/output validation.
  • Skilled in MS Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Support Team Lead/Manager with daily reporting and MOS.
  • Advise team on roles and resolve process issues throughout the day.
  • Develop QC/audit processes to meet SLAs.
  • Solid Nordic payroll experience managing large headcounts across multiple cycles;
  • High accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Effective in fast-paced, cross-functional teams to meet monthly payroll goals.

Job Qualification:


  • Solid knowledge of Nordic payroll
  • ERP application experience (SAP, Workday) preferred
  • Knowledge of Nordic payroll legislation and Statutory deductions
  • High accuracy, attention to detail
  • Critical thinker who asks questions and suggests improvements
  • Comfortable in busy, high-pressure team environments
  • Strong written and verbal English communication
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively
  • Quick decision-maker with a positive attitude, adaptable to ambiguity, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities; effective prioritisation
  • Proficient in IT applications
