Job Description

Job Summary :

The HR Executive (Payroll) will be primarily responsible for managing and ensuring accurate, timely and compliant payroll processing while supporting other key HR functions. This role requires close coordination with the Finance department, HR team and other stakeholders to maintain data accuracy, adherence to statutory compliances, and smooth Payroll cycle management. The role also involves supporting broader HR operations to ensure timely, compliant, and efficient HR service delivery across the organization.

Job Responsibilities :

Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including attendance validation, leave reconciliation & monthly salary computation.

Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll provisions and reports to the Finance Department.

Maintain employee records, payroll inputs, and master data in HRMS with 100% accuracy.

Handle attendance and leave management, verify data & reconcile discrepancies before payroll closure.

Handle salary structure creation, revision, and full & final settlements.

Coordinate with banks for salary account openings, payroll disbursements, and related queries.

Address employee queries related to salary, deductions, pay slips and statutory benefits.

Handle statutory compliance related to payroll, including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS & other applicable deductions.

Maintain and update employee master data in the HRMS; ensure alignment between HR & finance records.

Prepare and share monthly payroll MIS, dashboards, and reports as required by management.

Support HR audits and provide payroll-related documentation when required.

Participate in other HR operations, including onboarding, induction, and performance management.

Collaborate with different departments for process alignment and HR data requirements.

Expected Skills & Competencies :

Proven experience in payroll management.

Strong understanding of labour laws and payroll-related statutory norms.

Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.).

Hands-on experience with HRMS software for payroll and attendance.

High attention to detail and data accuracy.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Discreet, ethical and able to handle confidential information responsibly.

Qualification :

  • MBA in Human Resources or equivalent specialization.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in payroll and HR operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.
