Job Description

What is BrightCHAMPS

A global live-learning ed-tech platform for kids from 6 to 16 years to learn next-gen life skills such as Coding, Financial Literacy, Communication Skills and Robotics. BrightCHAMPS is currently valued at $650 million with a $63 million investment, and services 30+ countries (India, Indonesia, US, UAE, Vietnam, and many other countries across SEA and MENA) in 12+ languages across its 4 verticals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll inputs, including new joiners, exits, attendance, leave, and variable components, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Coordinate with the Managed Payroll Service provider and review payroll outputs through a maker-checker process before finalization.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.) and maintain confidentiality of payroll data.
  • Maintain and update the HRMS (Zoho People) with accurate employee information and changes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for monthly global salary summaries, headcount, attrition, and other people metrics for management review.
  • Provide data insights and reports to Finance, HR, and other stakeholders for costing, budgeting, and audit purposes.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs to validate attendance, leave, and employee data for payroll accuracy.
  • Track onboarding and exit data for smooth payroll integration and reporting.
  • Coordinate with the payroll vendor to manage compliance documentation and ensure data accuracy.
  • Manage payroll helpdesk and address employee queries promptly, maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and service quality.
Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Zoho People or similar HRMS tools.
  • Advanced skills in Excel / Google Sheets and data visualization (preferred: Power BI or Zoho Analytics).
  • Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and data integrity.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 36 years of experience in payroll processing, HR operations, or HR analytics.
  • Prior experience working with Managed Payroll Service providers preferred.
  • Experience in working with global payroll or multi-country data will be an added advantage.
