Job Title: Payroll & Benefits Specialist (US & Canada)
Location : Greater Noida (In-office) | 5 Days Working
Role Overview
The Assistant Manager/Manager US & Canada Payroll & Benefits Administration is responsible for end-to-end payroll operations, statutory compliance, and benefits administration across the United States and Canada. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while acting as a subject‑matter expert (SME) on regional payroll regulations, benefits programs, and employee query resolution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll Management (US & Canada)
- Ensure Timely submission of payroll Inputs for US and Canada on a bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly cycle.
- Ensure accuracy of employee compensation, bonuses, overtime, incentive payouts, and variable pay.
- Validate payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, benefits deductions, leaves, garnishments, and tax modifications.
- Perform payroll reconciliation, variance analysis, and final sign‑off.
- Coordinate with Finance Team to ensure seamless processing.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local payroll regulations.
2. Benefits Administration
- Administer US and Canadian employee benefits programs:
- Health, dental, vision
- 401(k) / RRSP
- Life insurance, disability plans
- Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) / Health Spending Accounts (HSA)
- Paid time off (PTO) and leave programs
- Manage annual open enrollment, vendor coordination, and employee communication.
- Audit benefits enrollment, deductions, and employer contributions monthly.
- Address employee queries regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, and coverage.
3. Compliance & Reporting
- Knowledge of compliance with US federal/state (FLSA, IRS, DOL) and Canadian federal/provincial regulations (CRA, ESA).
- Prepare payroll reports for finance, audit, and leadership teams.
- Implement policy changes driven by regulatory updates.
4. Process & Controls
- Establish and improve SOPs, controls, and audit frameworks.
- Drive automation and system enhancements in payroll and benefits processes.
- Partner with HRBPs, Finance, and Legal teams on cross-functional initiatives.
5. Employee Support
- Resolve complex payroll and benefits queries within SLA.
- Support onboarding, exit processes, and employee life-cycle events.
- Conduct employee sessions/trainings on payroll & benefits topics.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of US & Canada payroll laws and statutory frameworks.
- Experience with payroll platforms: ADP, Ceridian, Workday, Kronos, or similar systems will be an added advantage.
- Expertise in benefits administration for North America.
- Advanced Excel skills and good understanding of HRIS systems.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Preferred certifications:
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional)
- FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification)
- Canadian Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)
- 6–8 years of hands‑on payroll & benefits experience in the US and/or Canada region.
