As part of the transition following the sale by Finastra of the Teciem business, Finastra is supporting Teciem on a temporary basis by managing the end‑to‑end recruitment process for this position, including advertising, candidate outreach, interviews and selection. While certain points of contact in the hiring process will be Finastra staff, the successful candidate will be employed within the Teciem business and will carry out their role solely for Teciem.

Responsibilities & Deliverables

Payroll Operations

  • Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for EMEA and Americas entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local legislation and company policies.
  • Oversee payroll calendars and coordinate payroll activities across multiple countries and providers.
  • Coordinate with third‑party payroll providers, ensuring timely data submission, validation of payroll outputs, and final sign‑off prior to payment.

Payments & Funding

  • Ensure timely release of payroll payment files and manual payments for salaries, taxes, social contributions, and other third‑party dues.
  • Liaise with Treasury to communicate funding requirements and resolve payment-related issues.

Reconciliations & Controls

  • Perform payroll control account reconciliations and clear outstanding balances.
  • Ensure consistency between payroll data, HR systems, and headcount reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll.

Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare and post payroll-related P&L and cash journals in NetSuite (or equivalent ERP), in line with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Support month-end and year-end payroll closing activities.

HR & Employee Support

  • Support HR operations with statutory certificates, payroll audits, and complex payroll or employee-related cases.
  • Ensure accurate handling of tax, social security, and statutory reporting obligations.

Process Improvement

  • Identify payroll process inefficiencies and recommend best practices to improve accuracy, compliance, and automation.
  • Support payroll transformation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure payroll processes comply with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Maintain documentation of payroll procedures and controls.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, HR, or a related field.
  • 3 + years of payroll or finance experience, including multi-country payroll exposure (EMEA and/or Americas preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience working with third‑party payroll providers and managing vendor relationships.
  • Solid understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems and HRIS; NetSuite or similar ERP knowledge is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines, complexity, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
