A role within the textile manufacturing and apparel supply-chain sector serving domestic and export markets. The position sits on-site at a factory/office location and focuses on end-to-end payroll administration, statutory labour compliance, and month-end reconciliation for hourly, salaried, and contract workforces. This is an operationally-focused role with direct interaction across HR, Finance, and statutory authorities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll for multiple employee categories (salaried, daily-wage, contract, piece-rate), ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement each cycle.
- Manage statutory filings and compliance for PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and TDS; prepare returns, reconciliations, and statutory reports.
- Handle payroll accounting activitiessalary journals, recoveries, overtime, leave encashment, gratuity inputs and month-end closures in coordination with Finance.
- Maintain payroll records and registers, prepare audit-ready documentation, respond to statutory inspections and notices, and implement corrective actions.
- Operate and administer payroll software and payroll templates; ensure data integrity, perform reconciliations and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Drive payroll process improvements and SOPs, enforce payroll controls, and support payroll-related internal and external audits.
