Job Description
As a member of the Payments Product Controller team in Mumbai, you will work closely with regional product controllers to carry out control function and support product managers and business managers.

Job Responsibilities
- Be responsible for review of the monthly close activities including financial data, journals, significant variances and transactions, financial reporting deliverable, accruals estimation, reconciliations, general ledger substantiation etc. and ensure the high quality of deliverables.
- Act as a resource to project management & the businesses for various projects / business initiatives at a global and regional level.
- Drive change with month-end process to improve transparency and efficiency in month-end results.
- Manage ad-hoc business requests and address them with sense of urgency.
- Ensure financial information follows US & local GAAP and firm's corporate accounting policies, documenting exceptions where appropriate.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX and firm policies.
- Handle people management responsibilities which include management of work planning, Resource utilization and individual development and growth of team members.
- Manage relationship with regional stakeholders in region, Business managers, Product managers and financial controllers. Take regular feedback, anticipate and understand issues and escalate appropriately for timely resolution.
Required Qualifications, Skills, And Capabilities
- Qualified accountant with 14 years experience within the Financial Services industry with controller experience.
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence including the ability to present complex and sensitive matters to Senior management, Product Managers & Business Managers across levels.
- Managing people or teams in a matrix organization with proven success contributing to complex, large-scale initiatives
- Analytical mind-set, structure approach, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and team-building skills
- Ability to manage several projects and reporting requirements concurrently.
- Ability to evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization with limited local oversight ensuring timely escalation & resolution of issues.
- Proven skills in identifying and resolving control issues that may impact financial results.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, And Capabilities
- Good knowledge of Liquidity, transaction Banking & SAP ledger system is preferred.
