Role Overview:
- We are looking for an experienced Senior Agile Business Analyst with 7-8 years of experience, preferably in banking domain to work on Payments Exceptions, Investigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Product Owners, and Engineering, to translate business goals into actionable product features and refine requirements for Payments Exceptions and Investigations within the banking domain.
- Evaluate and analyze business needs and IT systems, acting as a liaison between business and IT teams to ensure alignment and clarity in project objectives.
- Develop and convert business requirements into functional solutions and user stories, ensuring customer-centric solutions are delivered efficiently.
Responsible For:
- The Business Analyst will be a key team member within the GPI Investigations & is accountable for successful & quality delivery of the projects.
- Review of global and regional Functional Change Requests to assess validity and feasibility in line with current user requirements
- Accurate tracking of changes to ensure the signed off document is recognized and approved by all stakeholders.
- Work with User Acceptance Testing team, Software Delivery, Service Delivery (Operations) and application vendor to triage defects raised.
- Elicit, analyse, validate, document and prioritise business and / or system requirements as an individual BA
- Collaborative creation of epics and writing of user stories in conjunction with Product Owner, including non-functional requirements
- Define & manage business specifications end-to-end and act as facilitator between various groups.
- Perform root cause analysis of failure elements & recommend improvements.
- Make recommendations to improve effectiveness and overall process efficiency Ensure full business engagement in the Agile development process.
- Able to manage BA deliveries individually in a pod structure
- Show the character to uphold HSBC values and standards where applicable and prevent divergence from best practice.
Role Requirement:
- Possess payments investigations knowledge and hands on experience in investigations/E&I space.
- Strong payments knowledge across High Value, ISO, RTGS and Low Value payments, clearing houses.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, customer service, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
- Experience with Agile methodologies (preferably Agile Scrum) as a Business Analyst
- Processes and perform root cause analysis of failure elements & recommend improvements.
- Ability to make sound decisions and drive solutions based on those decisions, with the support of the wider team (IT / Vendor)
- Experience in Jira, Confluence, Visio.
- Ability to transition rapidly into role and become effective within a short period.
- Proactive and willing to use own initiative to resolve issues in solution driven environment.
