As a Payment Lifecycle Associate I within Payments Operations, you will enhance our payment operations framework by streamlining processes, implementing new technologies, and developing operational functions, while managing payment processing across various products to ensure smooth fund transfers and reconcile purchase and sales options, futures, or securities. Leveraging your proficiency in automation, cybersecurity, and anti-fraud awareness, you will ensure the security and efficiency of our payment lifecycle. Your ability to manage stakeholders, influence decisions, and handle conflicts will drive mutually beneficial outcomes, while your strategic planning skills will guide our direction and resource allocation decisions. Additionally, your proficiency in AI/ML will be utilized to solve complex problems and enhance processes, applying your knowledge in market product and process improvement to optimize our operations.
Job responsibilities
- ImplementGlobal Sanctions standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures consistently.
- Researchtransactions stopped in sanctions screening systems to determine true matches to sanctioned entities.
- Reviewtransactions for potential sanctions issues and required dispositions.
- Determinesanctions requirements across regions through targeted research and queries.
- Formwell-supported opinions by independently gathering evidence and recommending process actions when needed.
- Documentdispositions with clear rationale and adequate supporting documentation.
- DriveOFAC/Sanctions initiatives and projects, including quality, control, procedure reviews, and screening implementation for new business.
- Maintainthroughput and quality targets while managing competing priorities.
- Escalateissues, concerns, and emerging risks to senior management promptly and transparently.
- Partnerwith risk and controls stakeholders across NAMR, EMEA, and APAC to align execution and build strong working relationships.
- Leadteam effectiveness by strengthening sanctions SME capability across processes, technology, case management, and products, training new hires, improving processes, performing root-cause analysis, and managing performance and development where applicable.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- A minimum of 10 years experience working in the Financial Services industry with a demonstrated track-record of delivery and/or relevant experience in Compliance
- Experience with the build out and execution of a new team or procedures, ability to identify risks and issues and successfully navigate through to completion
- Possess strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Payment Operations/AML/OFAC or Compliance experience mandatory
- The role holder will be required to operate flexible working hours to cover early starts and/or late finishes as demanded by the business
Bachelor's degree in finance or any similar disciplines
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Knowledge of SWIFT messaging and payment transactions is preferred. Demonstrate cross-line of business knowledge of banking systems and products
