As a Payment Lifecycle Analyst within Payments Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth transfer of funds between various parties while enhancing our payment operations framework. You will leverage your knowledge of automation technologies and systems architecture to process payments across various products and parties. Your responsibilities include identifying and resolving issues, making decisions guided by established practices, and contributing to short-term operational goals. You will engage with stakeholders, manage projects, and spur continuous improvement initiatives, building strong working relationships with internal lines of business. Your ability to understand and apply cybersecurity controls, anti-fraud strategies, and data analysis techniques will be key to your success in this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- This is Operations Automation role which along with Operations activities, requires designing, delivering, and governance of automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, control effectiveness, and customer outcomes across core operations.
- The Role partners with Operations, Change Management, Technology, Risk, Compliance and Finance to identify automation opportunities, re-engineer processes, and implement scalable solutions using modern automation toolsets. Translate process pain points into automation roadmaps, then executes delivery using fit-for-purpose tools (RPA, workflow, scripting, APIs, and data automation).
- Success requires strong execution discipline, a control-first mindset, and the ability to translate operational needs into measurable automation outcomes. The role is to be accountable for delivering resilient automations that meet enterprise standards for security, auditability, and model/technology risk management.
- Own the end-to-end intake process for automation opportunities, including triage, value sizing, feasibility assessment, and prioritization aligned to business strategy and risk appetite.
- Build and maintain an automation pipeline and quarterly delivery plan, balancing quick wins with scalable, strategic initiatives in coordination with the relevant stakeholder teams.
- Establish reusable automation patterns and standards (e.g., exception handling, reconciliation logic, audit logging, credential management) to reduce delivery cycle times and improve reliability.
- Success is measured by sustainable run-rate benefits, control effectiveness, production stability, and adoption at scale.
- Execute and maintain strong controls in close partnership with internal functions and in accordance with company policies and regulatory changes.
- Partnering with internal departments to scale operating model for new products growth as business initiatives attract new clients and/or growth of existing client base.
- Maintain strong discipline to support in onboarding new activities into the unit in partnership with multiple project and control groups and engaging in proper operational readiness for go live.
- End-to-end ownership of operational support for products in scope of the unit, including escalations and engagement with internal business partners to trouble shoot issues and support define remediation.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Minimum 6years experience and strong organizational skills in financial services operations (banking, capital markets, payments, treasury) with prior involvement in process re-engineering or operating model transformation, operations automation.
- Experience in implementing monitoring, controls, and governance for automations at scale, including production support and incident management.
- The successful candidate should have hands-on or delivery-lead experience with one or more automation approaches, including robotic process automation, workflow/orchestration, API-enabled integration patterns, and document/intelligent automation where relevant
- The role requires comfort with data analysis for process performance and control monitoring, including working knowledge of SQL and/or Python, and proficiency with Excel and presentation tools for executive reporting.
- Candidate must bring demonstrated experience delivering automation in complex, regulated operating environments with strong operational rigor. The role requires proficiency in process analysis and requirements documentation, including ability to map current and future-state processes, identify control gaps, and define measurable outcomes.
- The candidate must have a track record of managing stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Risk, and Compliance, Finance with the ability to influence decisions through clear, data-driven communication.
Minimum education requirement is a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Operations/Industrial Engineering, Analytics, or Finance.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Global experience in payments is desirable, with understanding of accounting and money move processes.Knowledge and Experience in SWIFT.
- A master's degree is preferred, particularly in disciplines relevant to the role such as analytics, operations, information systems, engineering, or business.
- Preferred credentials include Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher), relevant automation platform certifications (RPA/low-code), and project or product delivery certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile/Scrum).
