PATTERN MAKER (FURNITURE CARPENTER)

Qualifications

: (Education requirements, certification or licensing standards, experience & basic knowledge needs.)

• Any degree in vocational school in carpentry or machinery. • Minimum of 2 years experience in pattern shop work related.

Work Performed:

(Numerical listing of specific duties and responsibilities.)

• Preparing patterns layouts. • Basics knowledge in methoding, pattern terminology (runner, ingate, dowunsprue, parting line…etc) • Knowledgeable with basics of foundry practice • Reading & interpretation pattern drawings • Pattern mounting. • knowledge about pattern repair • Pattern (metal or wood) finishing • Measuring dimensions using instrumentation. • Pattern inspection. • Styrofoam/master pattern making & preparation • Cleaning & house keeping the work area. • Carry out any other duties required by the company.
