The Role

We are seeking a Pattern Cutter with 5+ years of experience in leather goods who can translate complex design specifications into precise patterns that support both development and production.

This role sits at the technical foundation of product development. You will work closely with product developers, craftsmen and production teams to convert design concepts and spec sheets into accurate working patterns that ensure correct fit, structure and manufacturability.

You will contribute to the development of products that meet international standards of construction, functionality and finishing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing accurate patterns based on design specifications, reference samples and technical drawings
  2. Translating design intent into patterns that ensure structural integrity and production feasibility
  3. Reviewing and correcting patterns following prototype and sample evaluations
  4. Collaborating with product developers and craftsmen to resolve construction challenges
  5. Supporting sample development through precise pattern adjustments and technical inputs
  6. Maintaining organized pattern documentation for development and production reference
  7. Ensuring patterns align with material characteristics, reinforcement requirements and finishing techniques

This role requires technical accuracy, strong understanding of construction, and the ability to translate creative design into executable patterns.

The Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in pattern cutting for leather goods
  • Strong understanding of leather construction, reinforcement and material behaviour
  • Ability to interpret technical spec sheets and design references
  • Experience supporting sample development and pattern corrections
  • Attention to precision and detail in pattern development
  • Fluent in English and Hindi

Location

Full-time role based in Kolkata. Relocation required if not currently based here.
