Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients via phone, email, or in person.
  • Collect, verify, and update patient demographic, insurance, and medical information.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate with healthcare providers and clinical staff.
  • Explain intake forms, consent documents, and clinic policies to patients.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of patient records in EMR/EHR systems.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with PHIPA, HIPAA (if applicable), and organizational policies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure timely patient care.
  • Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and follow-ups professionally.
  • Track intake status and report any issues or delays to supervisors.
