Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Patent Illustrator with expertise in creating high-quality patent drawings for domestic and international patent filings. The ideal candidate should have 25 years of experience in patent illustration and a strong understanding of patent office drawing standards. You will play a key role in preparing accurate, compliant illustrations that support successful patent prosecution across global jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

Create accurate, high-quality patent drawings in compliance with USPTO, WIPO, EPO, and other international patent office standards.

Prepare formal and informal patent drawings, including utility, design, and PCT illustrations.

Revise and update illustrations based on feedback from patent attorneys, agents, or inventors.

Interpret technical disclosures, sketches, and written descriptions to produce precise drawings.

Ensure drawings meet all formatting, line quality, numbering, and margin requirements.

Stay up to date with evolving patent office rules and drawing guidelines.

Prepare and deliver client-ready patent drawings that meet filing deadlines and quality standards.

Maintain organized records of drawing versions and revisions.

Required Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field.

25 years of hands-on experience in patent illustration (minimum 3 years preferred).

Strong understanding of patent drawing standards and rules.

Skill Set Required:

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent illustration/drafting tools.

Strong attention to detail and precision in line work and annotations.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and engineering concepts.

Knowledge of patent drawing formats, symbols, reference numerals, and shading rules.

Strong time-management and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize effectively.

Ability to understand feedback and implement revisions accurately.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical clarification.
