Patch & Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute patch management activities across Windows and Linux server environments
• Deploy security patches hotfixes and updates using SCCM Microsoft Configuration Manager and other patch management tools
• Utilize Qualys for vulnerability assessment patch validation and compliance reporting
• Develop and maintain automation playbooks using Ansible for patching configuration management and system administration tasks
• Perform vulnerability remediation based on security scan findings and organizational policies
• Monitor patch compliance track remediation status and generate management reports
• Collaborate with infrastructure security and application teams to plan and implement patch deployment schedules
• Troubleshoot patch deployment failures and perform root cause analysis RCA
• Ensure systems meet security and compliance requirements through timely patching activities
• Support operating system upgrades maintenance windows and infrastructure improvements
• Create and maintain patching procedures automation documentation and operational runbooks
• Implement process improvements to reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency
• Participate in incident management and provide support during critical infrastructure issues
