Role Description The Pastry Chef at MYZISTO is a full-time, on-site role based in Vijayawada. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and baking a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation. Day-to-day tasks include mixing and proofing doughs, creating batters, preparing fillings and toppings, and baking items according to established recipes and production schedules. The Pastry Chef will manage ingredient inventory, maintain a clean and hygienic work area, and follow food safety standards. The role also involves collaborating with the kitchen team on new pastry items, optimizing production processes, and supporting overall food preparation during busy service periods.

Qualifications

  • Strong bakery experience, including pastry production and bread-making skills
  • Hands-on baking expertise, with the ability to follow and improve recipes
  • Food preparation and cooking skills, with an understanding of basic culinary techniques
  • Well-developed culinary skills, including flavor pairing, texture balance, and plating
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen sanitation standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, on-site kitchen environment in Vijayawada
  • Attention to detail, time management, and strong organizational skills
  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or in a professional bakery or restaurant setting preferred
  • Culinary or bakery certification/diploma is an advantage but not mandatory
