About The Opportunity

• RB LawCorp is a growing law and consulting firm focused on Indirect Taxation, GST litigation, Direct Taxation, Advisory, and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) matters, combining technical expertise with strategic legal and commercial insight.
• This is a senior leadership appointment for an established GST professional to join as Partner – GST & Indirect Taxation, with responsibility for leading the practice, managing key client relationships, overseeing operations, and contributing to the firm's strategic and commercial growth.
  
  

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex GST and indirect tax litigation and advisory engagements.
• Guide the preparation and review of legal opinions, replies, appeals, written submissions, and other legal and tax documents.
• Provide strategic direction on contentious tax matters, regulatory issues, and client-specific tax challenges.
• Maintain high standards of technical accuracy, legal research, and quality of deliverables.
• Take ownership of the GST and Indirect Taxation practice, including workflow, team performance, and delivery standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop lawyers, associates, consultants, and interns.
• Oversee office operations and ensure effective coordination across teams.
• Establish processes to support timely delivery, accountability, and consistent quality.
• Manage key corporate client relationships and serve as a senior point of contact for strategic engagements.
• Develop long-term client partnerships through commercially sound, practical, and technically robust advice.
• Lead client discussions, presentations, negotiations, and strategic consultations.
• Ensure client expectations, deadlines, and service standards are consistently met.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in GST and Indirect Taxation.
• Build relationships with corporate decision-makers, industry professionals, and referral networks.
• Contribute to client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and expansion of the firm's professional network.
• Develop initiatives to strengthen the firm's visibility, reputation, and market positioning.
• Contribute to the firm's long-term business strategy and practice development.
• Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and strengthen market presence.
• Support knowledge development, thought leadership, and professional engagement initiatives.
• Drive a culture of professional excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• 12+ years of substantial experience in Indirect Taxation, GST litigation, and advisory.
• LL.B. / LL.M. and CA qualifications are mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience in handling complex GST matters and advising corporate clients.
• Prior leadership experience in a law firm, tax advisory firm, or professional services organisation is strongly preferred.
• Proven capability in client relationship management, business development, and practice growth.
• Experience in team leadership, matter management, and overseeing professional deliverables.
