Role Description
Impact Partner Emerging Market Country Leadis a senior, remote leadership role based in your home country. You will serve as SDG Impact Partners local lead, responsible for building and cultivating a trusted stakeholder network and developing a strong pipeline of high-quality, investment-relevant initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Country ecosystem leadership:Build, manage, and grow a local ecosystem of public, private, and philanthropic stakeholders aligned with SDG Impact Partners and ImpactPhilan's mission.
- Stakeholder cultivation & partnerships:Establish long-term partnerships with government agencies, DFIs, foundations, corporates, investors, NGOs, and local intermediaries; act as a credible local convener and relationship owner.
- Initiative sourcing & mapping:Source, assess, and map local impact initiatives and investment opportunities; develop an actionable pipeline supported by strong local insights.
- Policy, market & regulatory research:Lead local research on policy and regulatory developments relevant to sustainable finance and impact investing; identify engagement opportunities and inform strategic positioning.
- Impact measurement & local practice:Research and interpret local impact measurement and reporting practices; contribute to methodology alignment and comparability across markets.
- Representation & thought leadership:Represent the organisation in local forums, webinars, and panels; support knowledge-sharing and strategic engagement with key stakeholders.
- Strategic planning & execution:Translate local insights into country strategy, partnership plans, and execution priorities; work closely with the central team to deliver outcomes.
Qualifications
- Provenleadership and stakeholder managementexperience in an Emerging Market context
- Demonstrated ability tocultivate and convene senior stakeholdersacross public, private, and philanthropic sectors and build durable partnerships
- Strongstrategic planningskills, with experience translating ecosystem insights into structured pipelines and execution plans
- High capability inresearch, analysis, and synthesis, producing clear, evidence-based insights and presentations
- Familiarity withsustainable finance, impact investing, blended finance, and theSDGs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident representing organisations externally
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setup; strong ownership and follow-through
- 10+ yearsprofessional experience in the financial sector (minimum)
