Job Description: Procurement Analyst
Role Summary
The Procurement Analyst will support endtoend procurement activities by analyzing spend data, managing vendor engagements, supporting sourcing initiatives, and ensuring cost optimization while maintaining compliance with organizational policies. The role requires strong analytical, stakeholder management, and coordination skills to enable efficient procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations & Sourcing
- Support endtoend procurement lifecycle, including requisition validation, RFQ/RFP support, vendor evaluation, negotiation assistance, and PO creation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (IT, Finance, Legal, PMs) to understand requirements and ensure timely procurement.
- Assist in strategic sourcing initiatives to identify costsaving opportunities and preferred vendor options.
- Track procurement requests, approvals, and fulfilment to ensure SLA adherence.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Maintain and manage vendor master data, including onboarding, compliance documentation, and periodic reviews.
- Support contract lifecycle management, including contract renewals, amendments, and expiry tracking.
- Coordinate with Legal and Finance for contract approvals, compliance checks, and payment terms.
- Monitor vendor performance against contractual SLAs and escalate issues where required.
Spend Analysis & Cost Optimization
- Analyze procurement spend across categories to identify cost trends, savings opportunities, and risks.
- Prepare regular procurement dashboards and reports covering spend, savings, vendor performance, and pipeline visibility.
- Support budget tracking and variance analysis in coordination with Finance teams.
- Track and report costavoidance and realized savings from sourcing initiatives.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure procurement processes adhere to company policies, audit requirements, and compliance standards.
- Support internal and external audits by providing procurement documentation and evidence.
- Enforce process standardization and maintain procurement SOPs and documentation.
Stakeholder Support & Continuous Improvement
- Act as a procurement SPOC for assigned business units.
- Educate stakeholders on procurement processes, policies, and tools.
- Identify automation and process improvement opportunities within procurement workflows.
Technical Skills
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing, vendor management, and contract administration.
- Handson experience with ERP / procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, ServiceNow or similar).
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, dashboards) and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of IT procurement categories (hardware, software licenses, cloud services, IT services) is preferred.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering.
- 6-10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management roles.
- Experience in IT services / technology / enterprise environments preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, PMP (optional) are an advantage.
